At a joint press conference with Szijjártó, who is on a one-day visit to Serbia, Đurić stated that the two countries are accelerating work on projects in the field of infrastructure connectivity and the construction of energy channels for connectivity, such as oil pipelines.
The Minister announced that in the coming period, the two countries will jointly organise an innovation forum, the aim of which is for the economies to modernise, participate in the development of new technologies and be as well interconnected as possible in this domain.
The Serbian Foreign Minister stated that work is also underway on border crossings that will be the most modern, best-flowing and safest in Europe and that will enable fast, safe and efficient traffic.
He expressed gratitude to Hungary for its strong support for Serbia in the international arena, assessing that during the Hungarian presidency of the EU, sincere commitment to European integration was seen not only by Serbia, but also by other countries in the region.
The Minister said that he also briefed Szijjártó on the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, where elections were held on Sunday, and where vote counting and attempts to influence the outcome of the vote are underway.
He emphasised that Serbia is committed to stability, peace, and good relations both within the country and in the region, noting that he informed Szijjártó about the internal political dynamics in our country and all the steps and measures that the President of Serbia, the government, and other institutions have taken to strengthen social dialogue and build democratic capacities.
