Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić concluded his visit to Israel with a tour of the King Alexander Karađorđević Forest in the Sha'ar HaAmakim kibbutz, a memorial in the north of the country that testifies to the ties between Serbia and Israel.
Đurić recalled that the kibbutz was founded by immigrants from Serbia and Yugoslavia in 1935 and that they erected a forest and a monument to King Alexander Karađorđević, who was one of the greatest friends of the Jewish people.
The head of Serbian diplomacy pointed out that signs of Serbian-Jewish friendship are present everywhere in Israel.
Summing up his visit to Israel, the Minister emphasised that they discussed deepening relations between the two countries in the economy, culture, as well as improving political ties, expressing their belief that relations with such a developed, technologically advanced and politically influential country mean a lot to Serbia.
