McLennan expressed the hope that the SEDP will build local capacities for educator development and help Serbia to overcome the consequences of isolation and build democratic education systems, which represent a pre-requisite for joining European and Euro-Atlantic integration processes.
Colic expressed the hope that SEDP, through the development of education and educators, will contribute to peace and tolerance in the region.
SEDP is funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), under a three-year programme worth CAD 2.4 million. The project is part of a broader regional educator development programme.
