Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met with Minister of Public Security of the People's Republic of China Zhao Kezhi to speak on the development of relations and the expansion of cooperation between China and Serbia.
Brnabic expressed her satisfaction with the cooperation and relations of the two countries in all areas and assessed that they are characterised by a comprehensive strategic partnership and steel friendship.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of the visit of the Chinese Minister to Serbia and estimated that the announced signing of three new documents on cooperation with the Interior Ministry of the Republic of Serbia will contribute to further strengthening of relations.
She added that one of the most important projects of the Interior Ministry of the Republic of Serbia is introducing video surveillance in traffic, while the Chinese company Huawei is another example of excellent cooperation.
Minister J Zhao expressed satisfaction with the readiness of the Serbian state leadership to deepen relations and stressed that the goal of the visit is the implementation of the agreements reached in order to improve cooperation in the field of security.
He added that China is ready to make efforts towards joint prosperity.
The officials also referred to a number of major projects that have so far been successfully implemented, such as Smederevo ironworks and RTB Bor, and estimated that Serbia's cooperation with Chinese companies has become dominant in the development of road infrastructure.
