Minister Jelena Begovic, together with Nenad Paunovic, director of the Team for IT and Entrepreneurship in the Office of Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, presented this largest Serbian project in science, an investment worth €450 million.
Those present were presented with how Serbia sees itself in the future, what are the potentials, but also the chances, the Minister said.
Paunovic said that the BIO4 campus in Serbia is a scientific, but also an economic project, and the most developed economy in this area is precisely in the USA.
Paunovic said that there are the biggest companies with which the BIO4 campus already has memorandums of understanding, such as Pfizer and Ginkgo Bioworks, and with which they will have meetings to expand cooperation and deepen relations in order to work on joint projects with Serbian scientific institutes and BIO4 campus.
After the presentation of the BIO4 campus, adviser in the Prime Minister’s Office Stefan Badza stated that the USA is one of the leaders in artificial intelligence globally and is the largest export market for Serbian products in the IT field, so it is expected that, through the presentation of Serbia’s work in the field of artificial intelligence, as many investors and companies as possible are invited to engage in the field of artificial intelligence development.
