The two officials discussed the upcoming Serbia-Italy Business Forum in Trieste, in which a large number of Serbian companies from the fields of industry, agriculture, infrastructure and technological innovation will participate.
The Prime Minister pointed out that Italy, whose companies employ approximately 50,000 people in Serbia today, is an important economic and investment partner, with the assessment that the second business forum of the two countries represents an additional impetus for the economies of the two countries, as well as the overall improvement of bilateral relations.
Noting that this is the second Serbia-Italy Business Forum, Vučević added that direct cooperation between Serbian and Italian businessmen is important for new investments in our markets in many ways.
He voiced the hope that there will be new Italian investments in our country in the coming period, thanks to the great potential and exceptional political and strategic ties between Serbia and Italy.
The Ambassador of Italy pointed out that the two countries have a long tradition of friendly and partnership relations, which is a solid basis for Italy's further support for Serbia's European path.
He added that the year in which two important dates are marked - the 145th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 15th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration on Strategic Partnership between Serbia and Italy, is a good basis for deepening ties and establishing stronger partnership relations.
According to him, apart from the existing ones, the biggest potential for growth is in the field of tourism.
