Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and External Trade of the Republic of Vanuatu Matai Seremaiah Nawalu today signed a Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral consultations between the two ministries.

At a joint news conference, Đurić expressed the hope that, in addition to the signed Memorandum, one of the outcomes of today’s visit would be a deeper understanding of Serbia’s position regarding its internal and regional issues, as well as Serbia’s better grasp of the challenges and outstanding issues facing Vanuatu and the entire Pacific region.
Đurić announced that Vanuatu’s delegation will visit some of Serbia’s top agricultural and scientific institutes.
Nawalu particularly praised Serbia’s attention to Pacific Islands Countries, stating that it contributes to improving the living conditions of people in the Pacific.
