At the celebration of the anniversary of the United Nations in Belgrade, called YoUNg Futures, which was organised by the Government of Serbia and the United Nations Office in Serbia, Đurić pointed out that for our country, the UN Charter and the principles derived from it represent the key way of dealing with international relations.
The head of Serbian diplomacy underlined that our country’s commitment to multilateralism is underlined by the fact that accession to the European Union is a key priority of the Government of Serbia.
He pointed out that the initiative from this year’s UN General Assembly – Pact for the Future, stresses the vital role of young people as agents of change.
United Nations Resident Coordinator in Serbia Matilde Mordt emphasised the strategic priorities of the UN in Serbia – green transformation, development of human capital, as well as strengthening the rule of law and the human rights agenda, stressing the importance of young people in these efforts.
