President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić stated in Budapest today, at a session of the Serbia-Hungary Strategic Cooperation Council, that Hungarian-Serbian relations are at their highest point in history and that he will do everything to further strengthen the ties between the two countries.

In his opening remarks at the Council session, Vučić informed members of the two countries’ delegations that he and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had discussed all key issues and reached significant agreements, while also clarifying certain aspects regarding some projects.
We are on the right track to continue improving our exceptionally good relations, he pointed out, added that for us all projects – whether related to the economy, energy, transport, mutual support in the political arena or police and military cooperation – are of great importance.
Orbán reiterated that the relations between the two countries are developing at the highest level, noting that 12 working groups had held meetings today.
All groups placed emphasis on Serbia’s accession to the EU, the Hungarian Prime Minister pointed out, noting that he wishes to assure President Vučić that all members are working to ensure successful negotiations with the Union.
