Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Begović met with State Secretary of the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatisation of the Slovak Republic Ivan Ivančin during the second day of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Summit.

During the meeting, Begović emphasised Serbia’s interest in collaborating with Slovakia in areas that promote progress and development, adding that the goal is to develop mechanisms for the controlled development of artificial intelligence (AI), ensuring it remains safe while still allowing for innovation and growth.

On the sidelines of the summit, the Minister also met with U.S. Coordinator for International Communications and Information Policy at the Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy Steve Lang.
She presented Serbia’s ongoing projects, as well as the BIO4 Campus and the opportunities it provides for various fields of development.
Lang pointed out the significant potential benefits of AI and encouraged Serbia to engage in cooperative efforts in this field.
