After the opening of the cathedral, Prime Minister Vučević, at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, attended a gala dinner at the Élysée Palace, which was organised for heads of state, government and international organisations.
In 2019, the Government of the Republic of Serbia allocated significant financial resources for the renovation of Notre Dame Cathedral, which once again confirmed the centuries-old friendship with the French people.
