Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić stated today, during talks with Secretary General of the Central European Initiative (CEI) Franco Dal Mas, that regional connectivity holds strategic importance for Serbia and represents a key element of the European integration process.

Đurić expressed his expectation that the Serbian presidency of the CEI will provide new impetus to the regional organisation’s overall activities.
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on the priorities of the Serbian presidency, including improved regional connectivity, artificial intelligence and cooperation in the field of biotechnology.
The interlocutors also discussed certain aspects of bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Italy, as the country where the CEI Secretariat is based.
