Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić pointed out that his today’s visit to Paris is of exceptional importance not only for Serbian-French relations, but also in a much broader context.
Whether you have a question, comment, suggestion or any problem in the purview of the government, send us your message and we will try to respond as soon as possible. If your problem is not in our purview, we will forward your message to the relevant institution.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić pointed out that his today’s visit to Paris is of exceptional importance not only for Serbian-French relations, but also in a much broader context.
Đurić stated that Serbia, together with France and Slovakia, friendly countries, chairs the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI).
And here today, from the heart of Paris, we are sending a strong message that Serbia is strong, that Serbia is free and that Serbia is open for business, Đurić said.
According to him, it is also important that we are sending this message in the presence of ministers and officials from 40 countries who are in Paris today.
We are a country that has something to say when it comes to science and technology. In 2017, our country, guided by the vision of the then Serbian government, President Aleksandar Vučić and Ana Brnabić, adopted an e-government programme, and in 2019, the first National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence, and this year, the second one from 2025 to 2030, said Đurić.
The Foreign Minister stated that Serbia also has an Institute for Artificial Intelligence, and as he pointed out, around 110,000 people in our country work in the IT sector.
This gives us a great starting point, together with this chairmanship of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI), to profile ourselves as one of the nations that are pioneers in the development of new technologies, the Foreign Minister said.
All of this, he pointed out, is important for the financial well-being of every Serbian citizen, for the future of every child in Serbia, as well as for Serbian universities and the academic community.
And that is why I am very happy that, as a result of the exceptional relationship between President Vučić and President Macron, Serbia has had the honor of chairing the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) in this temple of diplomacy, together with France and Slovakia, concluded the head of Serbian diplomacy.
