Đurić said that Serbia expects to continue good cooperation with High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy of the EU during Kallas’s mandate.
We highly appreciate her opinion that the Western Balkans region is very important for the EU, as well as that she wants progress in the enlargement process during her mandate, the Minister emphasized and expressed hope that joint work will overcome the stagnation in Serbia’s progress in the EU accession process.
He said that in this regard, it would be very important to open Cluster 3 as soon as possible, explaining that this would be an additional incentive for the implementation of all necessary reforms by the end of 2026, which Serbia has defined as its strategic goal.
The Serbian Foreign Minister reiterated that full membership in the EU is our foreign policy priority, noting that Serbia is a credible partner of the Union, which is committed to further deepening overall cooperation.
Đurić pointed out that as Serbia’s economic partner, the EU is convincingly in first place in all parameters.
Speaking about Kosovo and Metohija, he expressed gratitude to Kallas for her willingness to personally engage in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and her desire to help in the process of normalising relations.
