Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić stated today that Serbia’s ambition is to strengthen its diplomatic capacities to effectively protect its state and national interests in the coming period.
Addressing the new generation of students of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Đurić emphasised Serbia’s need for greater affirmation in the international arena, the development of influence networks and an enhanced ability to understand current and future global developments.
According to him, in the period ahead, all those involved in international cooperation within the state system will be expected to work with patriotism, energy, and dedication – not only to enhance Serbia’s reputation but also to strengthen its influence and political standing while upholding the country’s fundamental values.
Your task is to fight for the interests of Serbia every day, and from tomorrow, as you begin this training, you will practically be on the front line of defending our state and its interests, the Minister told approximately 70 new Academy students.
Đurić also outlined foreign policy priorities, reiterating that maintaining social and political stability is crucial for ensuring the country’s continued development and its ability to pursue independent domestic and foreign policies.
