Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met today with Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan to discuss the promotion and further development of bilateral cooperation.
Brnabic expressed her satisfaction with the visit of the Armenian official, and emphasised that this is a confirmation of the mutual aspiration for strengthening and enhancing interstate relations, in line with the traditionally close ties between the two peoples.
The Prime Minister also noted that the opening of the Embassy of Serbia in Yerevan as well as the reciprocal abolition of visas for citizens of Serbia and Armenia are proof of firm commitment to strengthening relations.
She thanked Armenia for its firm and consistent stance on non-recognition of Kosovo’s unilaterally declared independence.
Mirzoyan said that the relations between the two countries are friendly and good and that it is important for them to develop further by expanding overall cooperation and exchanging visits at the highest and highest level.
The officials assessed that the potential of economic cooperation is not sufficiently utilised, and that there is room for intensification of cooperation in the fields of education, IT sector and agriculture.
