Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić said during a conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia Ahmed Moallim Fiqi today that Serbia is firmly committed to further developing and deepening overall relations with Somalia.

During the telephone conversation, Đurić stated that Serbia is proud of the traditionally good relations and decades-long friendship between the two countries, grounded in the principles of the Non-Aligned Movement, the Charter of the United Nations and mutual respect.
The Minister expressed gratitude to Somalia for its support for Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, while underlining Serbia’s respect for Somalia’s territorial integrity.
Serbia greatly appreciates Somalia’s support regarding Kosovo and Metohija, he stressed, expressing his confidence that the two countries will continue to provide each other with assistance in the international arena.
The two officials also discussed economic cooperation, as well as the possibility of enhancing it in various sectors, including agriculture, construction and information and communication technologies.
