Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić expressed today, in a telephone conversation with Federal Minister for European and Foreign Affairs of Austria Beate Meinl-Reisinger, Serbia’s readiness to further bilaterally improve political dialogue at the highest level.

Đurić expressed his expectation that during her mandate, the overall cooperation between the two countries will continue to develop in a positive direction, as well as that the Minister will visit Serbia in the coming period.
He reiterated that one of Serbia’s foreign policy priorities is full membership in the European Union, and that Serbia greatly appreciates the support that Austria provides it on that path.
He stressed that Serbia remains committed to preserving peace and improving cooperation and stability in the region, which is a key prerequisite for the overall progress of the Western Balkans.
Đurić assessed that the dialogue between Belgrade and Priština has been regressing for years, that the Serbian people are suffering from daily pressures, which, among other things, led to the emigration of 15% of Serbs from the territory of Kosovo and Metohija last year alone.
