Serbia is entitled to everything that is in line with UN SC Resolution 1244

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated today that Serbia will demand what is in accordance with Resolution 1244 of the UN Security Council regarding Kosovo and Metohija and expressed the expectation that this will be accepted by those who call on all countries of the world to abide by the Security Council resolutions.

At Nikola Tesla Airport, where she attended the departure of the first flight of the newly established air service between Belgrade and Tianjin, China, Brnabic said that the actions of Albin Kurti have brought us to the brink of armed conflict and that accordingly, Serbia has the right and intention, according to Resolution 1244, to return a certain number of troops to Kosovo and Metohija.

She pointed out that, on the one hand, we have a situation in which Serbia, for example, is introducing a direct flight by Air Serbia to China, or that the technological centre of the American manufacturer of electric vehicles Rivian was opened yesterday, while on the other hand, Kurti takes us back to the 18th century.

According to Brnabic, we have the contrast where we are fighting for the economy of the future on the one hand, to have jobs, investors, young people returning to Serbia from the diaspora, to have more and more innovative companies that raise our standard of living faster and then on the other hand, we have someone who is constantly, now already every day, pulling us back to the 18th century.

According to her assessment, the Prime Minister of the interim institutions of Pristina, Albin Kurti, is currently causing danger not only for Serbs, but also for Albanians and the whole of Europe.

The Prime Minister highlighted the completely ignorant behaviour of the European Union, which does not react or reacts only when the situation gets really dramatic and underlined that KFOR and EULEX are not doing their job, not only according to the Brussels Agreement, but also according to the Kumanovo Agreement.

They do not protect the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, neither south of the Ibar nor in the north of the province, Brnabic repeated and expressed her belief that during the day the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, will provide more information about his meetings in which he will request the return of our forces to Kosovo and Metohija, according to Resolution 1244 of the UN Security Council.

Serbia only wants peace and that is obvious, underlined the Prime Minister and explained that Kurti is taking risks because there is no investor, no job that can be lost in Kosovo and Metohija, the province now has historically the highest unemployment rate and is the only territory on the European continent that started with electricity restrictions in August.
